TransAlp Val d'Aosta
Michele, you know, it's a vulcan of ideas, he like to bike around the world (Nepal, Tenerife) and to climb and ride the summits in the Alps, sometimes he (and his friends) crosses the frontier of alpinism (Cevedale3769 m, Piz Umbrail 3033 m, Rite 20183 m in winter).In this summer he decided to perform a two weeks TransAlp between the borders of Italy and France; he and Dario planned a sequence of tremendous uphills and unbelievable downhills, the travel must be done hauling everything necessary to ride, to sleep and to eat.
Two similar weeks for me would be too hard, so I limited myself to the crossing of Val d'Aosta, from Champorcher to Valgrisenche.
Michele, si sa, è un vulcano di idee, gli piace girare il
mondo (Nepal, Tenerife) e le cime alpine, sconfinando nel alpinismo (Cevedale3769 m, Piz Umbrail 3033 m, Rite 20183 m in inverno).
Per l'estate ha deciso di fare una Transalp di due settimane
fra Italia e Francia, assieme a Dario ha pianificato una serie di salite
mostruose e di discese roboanti, il tutto trasportando quanto necessario per
pedalare, dormire e mangiare.
Due settimane simili per me sarebbero state troppo
impegnative, pertanto mi sono limitato alla traversata della Val d'Aosta, da
Champorcher alla Valgrisenche.

Rain: rest day in Valnontey / Pioggia: giorno di riposo in Valnontey
During the night a storm hit our tents with violence; my tent was new (Camp minima 2 sl, a very good ratio quality vs cost, I bought it on the website of Pesci, based in Florence), that night was the first one in that tent, a great inauguration. The second day of the TransAlp the weather was bad, so we spent all the day in the camping "Gran Paradiso" (website). It's a nice camp site, the market is cheap and well equipped, the owners are likable, hot water is free.Durante la notte una tempesta ha colpito le nostre tende con violenza; la mia tenda era nuova (Camp minima 2 sl, un ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo, l'ho comperata dal sito Pesci di Firenze), quella notte fu il primo in quella tenda, è stata una grande inaugurazione. Il secondo giorno della TransAlp il tempo era brutto, così abbiamo trascorso tutto il giorno nel campeggio "Gran Paradiso" (sito web). E' un buon campeggio: il mercato è a buon prezzo ed è ben fornito, i proprietari sono simpatici, l'acqua calda è gratuita.
