Choirs and 5 Torri

A friend of mine invited me to listen to some choirs from Cadore and from Rome between the 5 Torri (link), I jumped at the opportunity and I suggested to walk up to Nuvolau summit to see the last sun rays of the day that illuminate the Dolomites.
Un'amica mi ha invitato ad ascoltare alcuni cori del Cadore e di Roma tra le 5 Torri (link), ho colto al volo l'occasione e ho suggerito di camminare fino in cima al Nuvolau per vedere gli ultimi raggi di sole della giornata illuminare le Dolomiti.

After a glass of Kerner at Averau mountain hut, we sipped another glass of the same fragrant wine, then we walked back to the 5 Torri where torches lighted up the First World War trenches, the site of the choirs performances. It's suggestive to listen to a polyphonic choir in a such environment, every song the sky become darker and darker and finally the sky was full of stars.
Dopo un bicchiere di Kerner al rifugio Averau, abbiamo sorseggiato un altro bicchiere dello stesso vino aromatico, poi siamo tornati verso le 5 Torri dove le torce illuminavano le trincee della Prima Guerra Mondiale, il luogo dell'esibizione dei cori. E' suggestivo ascoltare un coro polifonico in un simile ambiente, ad ogni canzone il cielo diventava sempre più scuro, finché non si è riempito di stelle.

The last song was a Verdi's one: "Va, Pensiero", it has been sung by all choirs together, the sky was dotted by stars and the towers were lighted up by powerful lights, as shown in the headline picture. My skills (and my camera) does not permit to have a better photo, fortunately there was one of the best photographer of Cortina (and not only), he shoot a wonderful 360° picture: link (spend a little time looking the other pictures) 
L'ultimo brano era di Verdi: "Va, Pensiero", è stato cantato da tutti i cori assieme, il cielo era punteggiato di stelle e le torri illuminate da luci potenti, come mostrato nella fotografia introduttiva. Le mie capacità (e la mia macchina fotografica) non mi permettono di scattare immagini migliori, fortunatamente era presente uno dei migliori fotografi di Cortina (e non solo), ha realizzato una meravigliosa immagine a 360 °: link (perdete un po' di tempo a guardare anche le altre foto).
